Our fish report is the total fish caught by our fleet during a week period. The 7 day cycle stars in a Friday and ends on Thursday of the next week.

The information is captured everyday by our land crew manager, Arturo Cota. He, a former captain, is well knowledge of our fishing grounds, which is helpful on giving us a clear picture of the condition throughout the week.

Hola from Hotel BuenaVista Beach Resort and the soon to be infamous Fish Guru! OK, clones…Get on it or get over it! Just completed the best week of the season…Now I’ll say the words I’m reluctant to say: Wide open bite on all species. You’ll see by the numbers. Check out the pics at the bottom of the page. Our guest, Bill Owens, from Long Beach, nailed an impressive 90 lb yellowfin, with Roger Kirschner hammering a whopper that weighed in at the dock @ 158 lbs. Not sure what line test was used or how long it took. I’m sure it took longer than this old man would be willing to spend killing myself!!! The marlin fishing is only getting better every week. My kind of fishing. Dodo’s (dorado) being caught in numbers, as well. Time for my soap box: I understand all the fisher people want to take fish home. Having said that, please, please let the shorts (small dorado) be released. I’ve seen so many 5-15 lb fish being taken. Small fillets and it depletes the stock. I know it’s Mexico, but we have to respect our fishing here as well as it is respected on the other side (USA). Thanks to all for considering what I’m talking about. Your fishing licenses seem to be contributing to the success of the Pesca (Mexican Fish & Game) by providing necessary funds for them to operate in our area. The inspector was out cruising around when he came upon a huge gill net set not far from the resort. Luckily, it hadn’t been there long, as there were not any fish in the net, yet. Check the pics at the bottom and congrats to Pesca for keeping that sh__ out of our area. I’m sure my crew will want a raise, now. OK, on to the fish report….
